Instructions

1.	At this moment , the script used in PixelExam 1.0 can be used on IE only. I'm currently using firefox but still can't perfectly open the page in fullscreen with firefox. I guess people still have IE in their computer. I'll fix this problem soon.
2.	Click through buttons on the left to view provided colors in full screen.
3.	If you find dots on the screen, don't panic, make sure they are not dirts on the screen.
4.	You need to click mouse again to go back to this page.

Update and bug report

3/2/05 - Although I tested the script to view the color in perfect fullscreen with many versions of IE, there is a report that the tile bar and status bar is shown. If you found this problem, please add your version of IE and Windows update in the comment, that would help a lot.

Why do you need PixelExam?

PixelExam is a very simple web page to test bad pixels on LCD screen. You don't need to download anything. If you own a computer with LCD screen or just bought a new laptop, you would need to test for bad pixels on your screen.
Dead pixels are small dots on your screen. It happens because those positions of the screen can't view some particular colors (red,blue,green), or they are white or black.

What should you do if you find bad pixels on the screen?

Well, at least you're not alone. Due to the complexity of the production, bad pixels can happen very often. Most manufacturer won't let you return the computer if there is only one bad pixel on your screen.

I got the inspiration to create the PixelExam after reading this topic. I'm not sure if there is any good tool to check bad pixels on the web format, that's why I create PixelExam.
