BAA Indianapolis LC is a wholly owned subsidiary of BAA plc. BAA was selected by the Indianapolis Airport Authority in 1995 to manage its system of airports including Indianapolis International, four general aviation airports and the Heliport in downtown Indianapolis. In addition to Indianapolis, BAA manages 10 other airports throughout the United States, United Kingdom, Australia and Italy. Together these airports serve almost 200 million passengers worldwide. Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA)
Established as a municipal corporation by the State legislature in 1962, the IAA is responsible for owning, developing and operating airport facilities in the Indianapolis metropolitan area. The Authority is governed by a board whose seven members are appointed by the Mayor of Indianapolis and officials of Marion County and Hendricks County. IAA facilities include Indianapolis International, Metropolitan, Mt. Comfort, Eagle Creek, and Gordon Graham Field airports and the Downtown Heliport.
