Hi, I’m Chatree Campiranon. Welcome! I’m a user experience designer based in San Francisco Bay Area.
My recent interest has been photography, music, and user experience design. I currently work as a Senior User Experience Designer at Aplia. My role includes designing and researching for a full scale learning solutions application.
I am originally from Thailand, where I got my Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering. I worked as a programmer for a little while until I decided to go to USA to get a Master degree in Human-Computer Interaction to do more interface design related work. I have been working in the User Experience field since 2005.
As for my thoughts on user experience design, I believe in designing with purpose. So I look for the reasoning behind why each element is on the interface the way it’s being presented. I also believe that ideas are cheap. Don’t hold on to one idea forever and make it perfect because it’s more important to get it out there early and often.
Outside of work, I play music and practice Aikido. I also have big passion for photography. I made a commitment to myself to post one picture a day to improve my photography skills. Also, this photoblog also serves as my diary and even a scratch board for creativity.
